Birthday Greetings from Her Majesty Margareta, Custodian of the Crown of Romania

This year on March 31st, during Nelly's 70th Birthday Gala Celebration in Bucharest, a surprise message was projected on stage from Her Majesty Margareta, Custodian of the Crown of Romania with an extra special announcement.
After some time, we have managed to translate for all those family, friends and fans who do not speak Romanian.

Wigmore Hall 70th Birthday Recital
Nelly is delighted to return to the Wigmore Hall with her dear friend and colleague David Gowland, with a lunchtime recital celebrating her 70th Birthday year.

The programme includes repertoire that has played an important part in an international career that has lasted forty years.

70th Birthday Gala
Nelly is proud to have celebrated her 70th Birthday on stage at the National Opera House of Bucharest, in a gala performance featuring esteemed colleagues Gregory Kunde, Daniel Magdal and Marta Sandu, under the baton of Maestro Giuliano Carella.

Performed to a sold out audience, the event featured repertoire that has been prominent throughout Nelly's career.
Viñas Competition 2022
​Nelly is thrilled to be joining the highly esteemed jury of the Francisco Viñas Competition in Barcelona.
During this ongoing time of turmoil, every opportunity to be part of something like this is like a jewel in a beautiful frown. Nelly is delighted to join esteemed friends and colleagues, to return "home" to the first competition she ever won in 1974, and now to encourage and celebrate the new generation of artists!
The whole competition will be streamed online, as well as an incredibly exciting event "An evening with Nelly Miricioiu" - an interview with the artistic director of the Liceu, to be live-streamed on January 29th!
